We are going to miss the opportunity to have you all here with us in the Bollywood city Mumbai.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, we are going to host the conference online on a virtual platform. The conference timings are set in such a way that attendees across the globe are able to attend the sessions. We, the organisers and student volunteers, are working hard to virtually recreate the essential aspects of the conference, and provide participants an enjoyable and interactive experience.
The Platform:
We are going to use a web-based platform- Airmeet (https://www.airmeet.com/)
Airmeet is enables us to create a virtual space which will give us a common platform to attend the various sessions, as well as, to meet different people, chat with them and share ideas with each other by sitting in a virtual lounge. You will have all sessions, including formal and informal opportunities for interactions, at one place.
1) Download and installation:
Airmeet is a web-based platform. You don’t need to download or install it. You can access it through your internet browser.
2) Browser:
Currently, Google Chrome provides the best support for Airmeet. We strongly recommend to use Google Chrome browser with version 79 or later (Use incognito mode preferably) to attend ICoRD ’21.
3) Hardware requirement:
You will need to use Laptop or Desktop to experience interactive features of the platform. You may access the platform using mobile or tablet with light mode. While you will be able to hear all the sessions, none of the interactive features will be available through mobile phone.
You need to disable VPN and change firewall settings, if required. Allow your browser to use your camera and audio.
You need a stable internet connection.
4)Registration:
You will receive a private link from Airmeet/ICoRD to your registered email. You don’t need to spend time in any registration process by entering your data. You can have an easy access through a PRIVATE link sent to you. You don’t need to worry about creating your profile for yet another application. If you have not received a link yet please write to icord21.conf@iisc.ac.in
Note: Please do not register separately for Airmeet.
5)Troubleshooting Tip for the Airmeet platform:
If you face any issue while using Airmeet- first thing is to try to refresh page/restart browser, and ensure that no other video conferencing tools are active in other tabs.
In case your problem is not resolved, you may access Airmeet Live Support by clicking ‘?’ on the left bottom part of Airmeet screen.

Our volunteers will help you troubleshoot any issues and assist you to take a trial in projecting your presentation before the event.

Social Interactions:
Social interaction is the soul of any conference. Airmeet provides a wonderful platform to meet all attendees during the next few days. Apart from attending the sessions, you may join different tables in the lounge and take part in any discussion. You may gather the group of researchers and have an academic debate, or you may just sit with your friends and talk about life during the pandemic. You may also use the networking button in the lounge (top bar) to randomly connect to different people.
We wish you a wonderful experience. Our volunteers are always there to help you in any difficult situation during the conference.
Thanks
