Monsoon Course on HCI 2022 is now open for registration.
IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay announces a 15-day course on human-computer interaction design from May 27, 2020 to June 10, 2020. The course is an exposure to user studies, interaction design, design evaluation and user experience metrics for working professionals.
Update: (April 24, 2020) Because of the travel restrictions and lockdown post Covid19, the Monsoon Course on HCI 2020 will be conducted in a virtual mode. Please note that it will be a synchronous, full time course delivered online. You will attend lectures, ask questions, do assignments, work on projects in groups, make presentations, receive feedback, and do most things that you would have done in a physical course (including a few parties). In order to participate, you need to be able to join from a video conferencing system (mostly Zoom, but we may occassionally use Google Hangouts or Skype). The dates will be the same (May 27 to June 10), but the detailed schedule may vary slightly, based on needs and constraints of online education.
Dates
May 27 to June 10, 2020Time

This course is for you if you are:
The course has two main goals. Firstly, it gives participants an exposure to issues, theories, principles and concerns relating to human interaction with interactive products. Secondly, participants get to practice the process and the techniques related to user studies, interaction design and design evaluation. After attending the course, participants should be able to conceptualise, design and evaluate interactive products. Those who are already involved in these activities should be able to improve the quality of their work, and should understand the theory behind what they do. Those responsible for the software development process should be able to make the process in their organizations more user-centered.
Here are the currently planned contents. More contents might be added closer to the date.
