'Design Workshops 2009'

10th June 2008, 9 30 – 12.30 and 2.30 to 5.30 at IDC, IIT Bombay

The Design workshops are being held for high school students on different areas of design such as Game Design and Story book Design. The workshops will be held on Wednesday 10th of June at IDC, IIT Bombay.

Workshop 1:
Age group : 10 - 15 years
“Game Design Workshop”
By Prof. U.A. Athavankar
Time: 9:30 – 1:00pm, 2:00 – 5:30pm
This is a one day workshop where children will be designing games with the faculty and other students at IDC. In the latter half of the workshop from 4pm, participants will be presenting their games.
All are welcomed to see those.

Workshop 2:
Age group : 10 - 15 years
“Colors and Tales” Picture Story telling workshop
by Sherline Pimeta
Time: 9:30 – 1:00pm
A fun-shop where youngsters will learn to discover what a picture-story requires, word exercises to paint the story, adding action to storytelling; and making your stories come alive.

The workshop will be continued in the afternoon session
"Making and Presenting Stories"
by Sachin Dutt
Time: 2:00 pm – 5:30pm
An creative session where younsters will learn to create their own stories. They will be made familier with various story creation and presentation techniques.

Schedule for the workshop for Children:
9:00 AM - 9:30 AM Registration and Tea
9:30 AM - 1:00 PM Morning Session
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Lunch
2:00 PM - 5:30 PM Afternoon Session

We have limited seats for these workshops. Only 15 participants will be there in each workshop.

also please specify the name of the workshop you want to register for.

Note:
IDC will provide the workshop material and lunch to the participants.
