Making films using affordable digital technologies for educational purposes
The Indian government and its premiere educational institutions are working on providing educational content through networked digital infrastructures. Despite the emergence of several digital communication media in the recent past, films remain as one of the strongest mediums to reach out to the public in India. In fact, through the revolution in affordable digital technologies,

the impact of films on the viewer has been enhanced over social networks, high definition TV channels and multiplex cinema halls. In an academic environment, this project is envisioned without ignoring the existence of films in the entertainment industry in India, which has a very strong bond with both urban and rural populations.

Safety Videos for Indian Institute of Technology

While Indian technical institutes offer premier education at a highly competitive level, guidelines and awareness of safety in labs are not up to the desired levels. Maintaining safety standards in laboratories are of great importance considering the fact that young inexperienced students are working in labs, which can abruptly transform to potentially hazardous places. It is important that the

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, one of the premier technological institutes in the country needs to initiate the process of creating awareness on local standards of safety and video is the ideal medium to achieve this aim.
