IDC strives to provide students with excellent infrastructure and environment where student initiatives can be encouraged through their active participation in ongoing projects, seminars, and design out-reach programs, as well as other extra curricular activities. IDC expects the students to explore research, gain confidence and excel in pursuing their chosen fields. IDC offers ample opportunities for the students to refine their skills and to enrich their knowledge in the field of design and other related areas.

IDC has an informal work culture. The work load is heavy but is balanced by a very open and relaxed atmosphere. The class rooms and studios act as interactive spaces for discussion, experimentation and collaborative work. IDC intends the students to feel at home in IDC.
