Revisiting Ajanta — Animated Films
As a part of the project Revisiting Ajanta, Prof. Shilpa Ranade is directing three animation short films based on Gautam Buddha and the Tibetan saints Padmasambhava and Milarepa. It will guide us through the lives of these Buddhist greats as they were as people. Although these three individuals existed in three very different times, they share a multifold bond in their stories as well as their personalities. The films seek to explore these bonds and through the stories of their lives, understand where they come from as people. This attempt to understand Buddhism is at a far more personal level than it has ever been attempted before. |
