Introducing Culture to Children through Storytelling

The project is about introducing culture to children. The objective is to promote, foster and propagate the cultural heritage and value system of Rajasthan through narratives.

Culture is that complex whole which includes knowledge, beliefs, arts, morals, law, customs, and any other capabilities and habits acquired by as a member of society. It’s learned, shared and is dynamic in nature. Through this project, I am trying to introduce Rajasthani culture to children from 4–7 years who have migrated from their hometown or who are not in touch with their native culture. Inspired by traditional storytelling of Kaavad, this installation aims at providing tangible culture of the people, there practices and the activities they do in day to day life.
