Acchi (think before you think)
Guided By Prof. Shilpa Ranade

The story is based on thought processes. Our thoughts fall in the range of being positive or negative. Sometimes negative thoughts just pop into our minds without any reason and they stick along like parasites and start affecting us. We need to fight to get rid of them.

The film shows evolution of positive thoughts into negative thought, these thoughts can make us feel bad, anxious, sad, depressed, hopeless, guilty or angry and hamper growth. During such phases the inner inertia leads to positivity and helps in fighting negativity.

I started this project with my own notion of good and bad thoughts; it is an expression of my thought processes and my surroundings. The story was inspired from a Rajasthani folk tale named The Wishing Tree. My animation film narrates a story of a girl who has both kinds of thoughts, negative and positive. She struggles to break through the mesh of negative energy around her by fighting against her negative thoughts. The style of animation is abstract, things are depicted through symbols and every symbol in film has specific meaning associated with it.
