Gond art and Narratives

I studied the Gond Tribal Arts practices and narratives which assimilate the study of their cultural past. The art forms depict stories which weave people with their cultures and ideologies and which shape their present. I studied the evolution of a new tribal art,which commenced in late 20th century and is a fresh example of transformation of oral narratives into visual. Exploration of characteristics and themes of their paintings, inspirations behind the forms and patterns helped me render the identical forms of the subjects and I came up with my own version of Gond paintings narrating a story.
