An Illustrative Story Book for Children

Story telling is an art. A good story, if properly told, remains fresh in the mind. Illustrations bring a story to life and help the child visualize and relate to the content. Illustrations support and compliment the content, helping derive its meaning. The purpose of designing is not solved with merely aesthetic drawings. The careful integration of content, language, typography, choice of colour palette and illustration style together result in a well designed book, with a proper structure. My aim in this project was therefore to make ‘an illustrative story book for children’ which has content that is well established and illustrated. |
