Summer Internship with Master Calligrapher Achyut Palav
Guide: Achyut Palav
Every individual is different, with a distinctive identity that needs to be felt and expressed. I believe that calligraphy is a powerful medium for presenting one’s unique expression. Each stroke, defines a character, reflecting ones thoughts. The energy and enthusiasm flowing through the ink give a unique expression to the calligraphy. Cut nibs, the medium explored in this project, gave a characteristic style to my strokes. I gradually discovered that the strokes in calligraphy are free and bold, and can be used to create purposeful design, when carefully structured. |
