Personal Mobility Vehicle for Urban Commute
Guide: Prof. K. Munshi
The Mobility Vehicle has been conceptualized as one which connects to a person rather than contains him/her. The device will essentially use an electric hub motor fitted with a wheel which would be the primary power source for movement. Here the conventional steering wheel is done away with so that turning can be managed by tilting or leaning of the body .Thus the device is such that it necessitates the user to be in sync with it and feel one with it, while the device becomes a part of him/her. Inspired by sports like water skiing and downhill skiing, the vehicle has been designed to induce a sense of thrill and pleasure during its use, while being styled to be an urban commuter. The design allows the person using it to configure the device to his/her physical dimensions. |
