Designing a System for Children with Learning Disabilities (Developmental Disabilities)

The project aims at providing an interactive learning platform for children suffering from different developmental disabilities (mental age of 5-7) to facilitate the acquirement of cognitive skills like visual recognition, understanding visual relationships, visual to verbal articulation, categorization skills, concept formation and planning. This platform builds on sensory and motor development skills that have already been acquired to help children start building their cognitive processes. It also enables the students to practice and rehearse the content for sensory motor development and integration. Teachers can monitor and evaluate the progress of students and new learning content can be added with alteration in difficulty levels. The system can be scaled to include normal students by simple modification of the learning content.
