Design Research Project: Experimenting with Stereoscopic Comics

In my special project I experimented with stereoscopy in the domain of comic strips and illustrations. Comics have fascinated me since childhood. While making them, I felt restricted by the relative flatness of my exploratory compositions. Hence I adopted a stereoscopic 3D technique to enhance the feel of depth, using anaglyph images that require red-cyan filter lens for viewing. I worked on two stories; one dealing with a stranded mountaineer in a snowy peak, and the other about an encounter with a long lost friend. |
