Retelling of a Legend from Kerala

The Legend of 'Naranathu Bhranthan' from the state of Kerala relates the peculiar life of the mad saint – Naranathu. His most peculiar act of rolling a boulder uphill and pushing it down is an expression of an underlying philosophy relating to vanity in the pursuits of human life. This animated short film is a retelling of this peculiar act of Naranathu in a surrealistic manner expressing the nature of madness with respect to the society in contrast with the suggestion of the underlying philosophy. |
