Dining Chair in Bamboo for Goan Restaurants

The project aims at designing a trendy dining chair in bamboo for Goan restaurant.

Enhancing current furniture scenario and giving an appropriate solution for hotel industry is the objective. This was done by using as well as complimenting industrial material like bamboo which would further enhance restaurant’s richness. And if this chair has other system level considerations like stack ability and easy transportation then it will have benefits in hotel industry where appearance is a major issue. To overcome the joinery problems of bamboo; other industrial materials like wrought iron was used which has extra advantages in terms of flexibility and joinery.

The project was about learning many things like ceramics as a material, pottery as a traditional craft, light as a source of visibility and many more.

Few good things I polished by doing this project. Those are namely improving my understanding of pottery, understanding of material, understanding of light and improving my photography abilities.

Light is one of the essential elements in everyday life even though it is artificial.

Understanding how light and colour affect emotion is also a significant factor in being good light designer. This project aims at making lighting units consisting of one or more LED‘s with all of the necessary parts and wiring. These products are specifically for creating ambience in living spaces.
