In order to tackle the ever increasing problem of pollution and congestion facing the metros today, it becomes necessary to come up with an alternative public transport which is efficient and environment-friendly. The concept design of the Microbus involved design of a battery powered(electric) vehicle, for low capacity(10 persons) public transport. The design involved the styling of the vehicle alongwith concept layouts for the internal space. Suitable seating layouts based on positions of battery-pack and power-train were also suggested.
