The faculty at the centre are involved with different types of projects:

Sponsored Research Projects
These are projects sponsored the Ministry, other Institutions and the Industry. These projects emphasize on research as the outcome of the project.

Consultancy Projects
The professional consultancy projects are undertaken for clients from the industry. The experiences of the faculty in undertaking such projects become valuable as teaching material at IDC.

Self driven Projects
Most of the faculty undertake projects out of their interest in many areas. Students are encouraged to work with the faculty on these areas.
