- Directed product design programmes for various successful innovative products and design programmes for international markets. Some of the products have sold more than million units. The first product of the range developed for L&T has received 'Good Design Award' (IF Award) at Hanover Engineering Fair in Germany. Invited by Swiss Office of Trade Promotion, Zurich to help Indian Rubberwood industry, develop products for European market.
- Supervised and guided more than 75 product design and development projects. Some of these sponsored by the Department of Science & Technology, Department of Electronics and Ministry of HRD, Government of India, Hino Motor Corporation, Japan etc.
- Setup a new product design & development facility at HMT Watch Directorate, Bangalore, as a part of corporate function integrating marketing requirements with R&D and production, and a panel expert for indigenisation programme at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, New Bombay. Management Adviser (Change Agent) for new product & strategies at Crompton Greaves Ltd. and 'Adviser to the President', Power Systems Group from 1996-2000. Introduced the concept of Methodology, Monitoring & Mentoring in their Technology Cells.
- Developed training programmes for industrial managers and conducted workshops on new product development at Tata management Training Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation, Hindustan machine Tools, Crompton Greaves Ltd., Department of Electronics. BHEL. etc.
- Published articles/papers (some of these seminal in nature) in professional publications internationally. Presented papers in international conferences in Switzerland (Ergodesign), France (Interactivity), Hungary (Design for Traffic Safety), Japan (Water), Hong Kong (Design & Development) the Netherlands , Canada & Israel (Science & Technology Education) etc. Designs published in Modo, Italy, Design Journal, Korea, International Design Yearbook etc.
- Under international academic cooperation with universities abroad accepted students from University of Technology of Compiegne, France, to do their project work under my supervision.
- Member of various Government of India committees for making recommendations on technology transfer, technology upgradation, formation of Design Council, member Human Engineering Panel, DRDO, CII Technology Committee etc. & faculty selection committees for IITs and IISc. Member, Research Advisory Committee for GIAN (Gujarat Grassroots Augmentation Network)
