Immunization poster : The Universal Immunisation Programme (UIP) run by the Government of India, makes essential immunisation available for free to children between the ages of 0 to 16 years. Contextual enquiries conducted in civic run health centres of Mumbai revealed that many parents were confused about when and how many immunizations their child needs. This poster informs the parents about significance of each immunization, how it will be administered. Apart from immunizations covered by the UIP, this poster also lists immunizations recommended by WHO. This poster could be displayed in waiting areas of health clinics and can be used as a communication aid by community health workers while educating the parents about immunization.
